Flat blanks

Adding flat blank views to drawings

  1. In the Menu Manager click VIEWS > Dwg Models > Add Model
  2. The Open dialog box will open
  3. Select the generic part file
  4. Click Open
  5. The Select Instance dialog box will open
  6. Select flat blank instance
  7. Click Open
  8. In the Menu Manager click Views > Add View
  9. Select General > Full View > No Xsec > No Scale
  10. Click Done
  11. Select the insertion point in the drawing
  12. The Orientation dialog box will open
  13. Select the front and top surfaces of the flat blank
  14. Click OK
  15. The flat blank will be placed in the drawing

Ordinate dimensioning of flat blanks

  1. In the Menu Manager click DETAIL > Create > Dimension
  2. Select Standard > New Ref > On Entity
  3. Select the baseline and first entity to dimension in the X direction
  4. Select the baseline and first entity to dimension in the Y direction
  5. Linear dimensions will appear
  6. In the Menu Manager click LIN ORD > Ordinate
  7. Click ORD MAKE > Create Bases
  8. Select the X dimension
  9. Select the X dimension base line
  10. The X dimension will convert to ordinate
  11. Select the Y dimension
  12. Select the Y dimension base line
  13. The Y dimension will convert to ordinate
  14. In the Menu Manager click ORD MAKE > Create Dims
  15. Select the baseline dimension (.000) in the X direction
  16. Select entities to dimension in the X direction
  17. Click the center mouse button to apply dimensions
  18. Click Done Sel
  19. In the Menu Manager click ORD MAKE > Create Dims
  20. Select the baseline dimension (.000) in the Y direction
  21. Select entities to dimension in the Y direction
  22. Click the center mouse button to apply dimensions
  23. Click Done Sel

Adding ordinate dimensions

  1. In the Menu Manager click DETAIL > Create > Dimension
  2. Click LIN ORD > Ordinate
  3. Click ORD MAKE > Create Dims
  4. Select baseline dimension
  5. Select additional entities to dimension
  6. Click center mouse button to apply dimensions
  7. Click Done Sel
  8. Click Done/Return
