Flat blanks
Adding flat
blank views to drawings
- In the Menu Manager click
VIEWS > Dwg Models > Add Model
- The Open dialog box will open
- Select the generic part file
- Click Open
- The Select Instance dialog box
will open
- Select flat blank instance
- Click Open
- In the Menu Manager click Views
> Add View
- Select General > Full
View > No Xsec > No Scale
- Click Done
- Select the insertion point in
the drawing
- The Orientation dialog box will
open
- Select the front and top surfaces
of the flat blank
- Click OK
- The flat blank will be placed
in the drawing
Ordinate dimensioning
of flat blanks
- In the Menu Manager click DETAIL
> Create > Dimension
- Select Standard > New
Ref > On Entity
- Select the baseline and first
entity to dimension in the X direction
- Select the baseline and first
entity to dimension in the Y direction
- Linear dimensions will appear
- In the Menu Manager click LIN
ORD > Ordinate
- Click ORD MAKE > Create
Bases
- Select the X dimension
- Select the X dimension base
line
- The X dimension will convert
to ordinate
- Select the Y dimension
- Select the Y dimension base
line
- The Y dimension will convert
to ordinate
- In the Menu Manager click ORD
MAKE > Create Dims
- Select the baseline dimension
(.000) in the X direction
- Select entities to dimension
in the X direction
- Click the center mouse button
to apply dimensions
- Click Done Sel
- In the Menu Manager click ORD
MAKE > Create Dims
- Select the baseline dimension
(.000) in the Y direction
- Select entities to dimension
in the Y direction
- Click the center mouse button
to apply dimensions
- Click Done Sel
Adding ordinate
dimensions
- In the Menu Manager click DETAIL
> Create > Dimension
- Click LIN ORD > Ordinate
- Click ORD MAKE > Create
Dims
- Select baseline dimension
- Select additional entities to
dimension
- Click center mouse button to
apply dimensions
- Click Done Sel
- Click Done/Return
