Drawing numbering
Drawing numbering is similar to part and
assembly numbering
- When you create a new drawing
in Pro/ENGINEER, use a product code prefix and the part or assembly
number as the drawing name.
Do not add revision numbers or page numbers to the drawing number--that
information is tracked separately by the system. When you save
a drawing, the filename will consist of your drawing number with
a ".drw" suffix automatically added by the system.
- Before starting a new assembly,
use Pro/LOCATE to check commonspace for the drawing name you
intend to assign to your model.
This check prevents drawing and drawing number duplication.
