Manuals
In some cases, clients
prefer the more familiar Microsoft Word format over other software
applications such as Adobe FrameMaker or PageMaker. When we deliver
documents written in Word, we also include an Adobe Acrobat PDF
version of the document. The PDF file has the advantage of smaller
size, consistent appearance, and transmits easily over the Web.
Here are two samples of
equipment manuals written in Word and distributed
as PDF files. Notice how Acrobat helps users navigate by adding
bookmarks and preserving the original in-document Table of Contents
and cross-reference links.

Intranets
Internal Web sites are
a great way to publish corporate standards, employee handbooks,
corporate policies, newsletters, and general shared information.
They provide a fast, cost saving alternative to printing and
distributing internal documents.
We created an intranet
site to assist users with their new Parametric Technology Corporation 3D CAD system.
The site augments the Pro/ENGINEER online help feature. A Standards
Committee (made up of Pro/ENGINEER users) develops and publishes
company specific standards, procedures, and best practices on
the site. Now users can get help with modeling and drawing standards
while they are working.
Graphics
Line art can be time consuming
when creating new documents. To speed-up
the process and reduce costs, we can produce line art from your
existing CAD drawings using .dxf, .dwg, or IGES files. Here are
two examples originally created in AutoCAD and Pro/ENGINEER (try
printing them from Acrobat Reader).
